Shield yourself from the rays
It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to apply SPF 30 + to your face when the sun is shining.

The beauty industry has every product you could imagine, there are primers on the market to adapt to every skin type whether it is dry, oily or combination – so there will definitely be a primer for you!
Perfect your base
It’s a good idea to adapt your foundation to your skin type. Luckily the market caters for all skin types and provides a wide range of different formulas – you’re bound to find the perfect match for your skin!
Keep it light
Nothing makes you feel like you’re wearing layers and layers of makeup quite like the feeling of it slowly melting off of your face in the sun. Luckily – there are ways to work around this! Opt for a lighter foundation or a tinted moisturiser as these feel lighter while still offering a good amount of coverage.
Fake it, don’t bake it!
Whether we like to hear it or not, tanning in the sun is still damaging. Reach for the bronzer and a big fluffy brush. Using your brush, sweep bronzer from the temples, round to the hollows of your cheekbones and finally the jawline. Applying bronzer in the places the sun hits will give you a perfectly bronzed glow.
Stop shine, add glow
It happens to the best of us! Luckily you can fight the mid-summer shine by dusting a light amount of powder over any particularly shiny areas.
Lip balm babe
Your lips are just as sensitive as your skin, you need to ensure that the lip balm you use has a SPF in it.
Give waterproof a whirl
Waterproof items are becoming more and more common on the market nowadays, and there’s a good reason! If you fall victim of makeup meltdown then reach for waterproof options! Doing so will minimise smudging and keep your makeup where it’s supposed to be all day long.
Your new best friend – say hello to blotting papers
Easy to carry around and easy to use, what more could you want? These small pieces of paper, absorb the excess oils released from your skin throughout the day – a great way to tackle oil without spoiling your makeup.
