Summer style in the eyes of Apollonia

I know, I know – We don’t want to talk too soon, but it seems as though the weather may have *finally* caught up with the seasonal calendar. Summer we’ve been waiting on you too long! As Flawless Style Ambassador and full-time fashion influencer, I spend a lot of time modelling and styling clothes, (even when I’m not online shopping, I’m probably thinking about it!). So, from crochets to neons, let’s talk about some of my favourite trends that are filling up my wardrobe all summer long.

OVERSIZED HATS
Not a “hat person”? Look no further, now you will be! When it comes to this summer’s trend, I say the bigger the better, which is a match made in heaven for anyone stepping foot on a plane and looking for more sun protection. Not only are extra-wide brimmed hats chic and stylish accessories, they’ll also protect your skin and keep your dermatologists everywhere happy. Style with denim hot pants and espadrilles and just like that, you’re Ibiza ready!

NEONS
To say this trend needs a credit card warning is an understatement! Not one for the play-it-safers, the neon trend is back with a bang this year and it’s flooding my Instagram feed (it’s hard to miss, literally!). From bikinis to beach cover ups to crop tops, I ditched the darks and gave my wardrobe a vibrant makeover this season, and so should you! Think lime greens, hot pinks, dazzling oranges and electric blues. I just can’t get enough… Not to mention neons are pretty magical at making your summer tan POP!

CROCHET
The weather’s warming up, the sun’s setting later and it’s the perfect excuse to dig into your clothes rails for crochet don’t you agree? Light and airy, crochet is the perfect summer staple to slip into your suitcase (especially if you’re guilty of overpacking like me!). If you can’t resist hopping onto the trend, then why not take some inspo from this cute Coachella inspired two piece I sported recently.
These outfits are so easy to put together because you don’t have to worry about trying to match the pieces. (#Winning!) They are made out of super comfy crochet material too, so what could be better when you’re sipping martinis around the pool?

THIGH HIGHS
Feeling brave? Let me introduce you to the mother of all boots, these flame orange thigh highs. Not just for walking but designed to make a statement in the streets, the only condition with these boots is daring to wear them! For a fun and quirky addition to your summer wardrobe that’ll make heads turn for all the right reasons, why not pair them with a badass bikini or LBD? Go on girl, get your thigh high game on and inject some excitement into your wardrobe.

SNAKE PRINTS
Let’s pause for a second and talk about a trend that has slowly been appearing on all of our Instagram and Pinterest accounts over the years and has now officially taken over the fashion world. Snakeskin is the hottest print this season and I think it’s safe to say it won’t be going anywhere in my wardrobe anytime soon. But how to wear such a bold print, I hear you ask? Why not break up an all-black OOTD with snakeskin accessories or (if you’re feeling fearless!) reach for a bodycon dress like this one.
