Love Island recoupling inspired makeup tutorial

With only a few more weeks left until the final, things are heating up in the villa, and the ever looming re-couplings mean we are seeing more and more islander leaving the island. The girls have become known for their glamorous makeup looks in preparation for the recouplings, so we’ve taken inspiration and created our very own makeup tutorial to help you look just as glam. And you never know, maybe you’ll find your very own Jack.

A flawless base is key

A Flawless base is the key, particularly when you’re aiming to achieve a glam makeup look. Ensure your skin is moisturised with a light daytime moisturiser, then apply a primer to blur the appearance of any pores or imperfections. Select a medium to full coverage foundation and apply lightly, blending from the middle of your face, outwards. Add more foundation to areas that require slightly more coverage. Hide dark circles and any signs of acne with a concealer in a shade lighter than your natural skin tone and blend with a makeup sponge or concealer brush.

Smokey eyes

The islanders tend to opt for a smokey eye look in shades of dark brown and gold to compliment their sun kissed skin. Be sure to prime your eyelids with a concealer or eyeshadow primer before applying your eyeshadow to ensure your makeup stays put all night long. Use a good quality brush to ensure colours blend seamlessly.

Bold lips

Red is the colour of this years islanders (and we’re not just talking about poor Alex!). A bold red lip takes any makeup look from day to night, but make sure you use a lip liner that matches your lipstick shade to avoid colour run – particularly during the current heatwave!
