Easy Eyebrow 101
Brows have certainly had their fair share of the spotlight in recent years, tweezers have been tossed away in favour of a bushier, Cara Delevingne esque brow looks, and the top makeup brands have pushed products promising to help you achieve the arch of your dreams – we’re looking at you Benefit.
Good brows make your face look in proportion, and help to define your features. Unfortunately we’re not all blessed with well endowed brows like Lily Collins – but have you ever heard the phrase “fake it till you make it?”.
Thankfully there’s a simple way to achieve flawless brows with minimal effort. Here’s our monthly makeup recipe.
You will need:
- Tweezers
- Brow pencil (for fuller brows)
- Spooly
- Concealer
- Brow gel (optional)
Method:
Step 1:
Ensure your brows are clean and brush with your spooly in an upwards direction. Pluck any stray hairs below your brow line, this will be obvious when brushing upwards./the spooly will also allow you to see the natural shape of your brow. It’s a good idea to stick to this shape, as your natural shape will compliment your features the best.
Step 2:
Take your eyebrow pencil and gently use short dash like strokes to mimic your natural hairs. Fill in any sparse areas with these strokes, then lightly sweep over your eyebrows with an eyebrow powder in the same shade to help blend the strokes and define your eyebrows.
Step 3:
Very gently comb through your brows once more with your spooly.
Step 4:
Finally, With your concealer, neaten up the edges of your brows by concealing any product that smudged over your brow line.
