Get Your Freak On With Easy Creative Halloween Make Up

Halloween is going to look a little different this year, no big costume parties or trick or treating, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your freak on and go all out with a spooktacular look.

Here at Flawless we are all about stunning makeovers and when better than Halloween to go ‘extra’ with your makeup and outfit. This spooky event is the only night it’s permissible to adorn your face with layers of face paint, try out intricate designs and practice special effects. Check out some special FX MUA’s on You Tube – some of their ideas are mind-blowing!

You and your bubble can decorate your house as wildly as you like, carve scary pumpkins, prep some killer party food, pop some fizz and have your very own at-home Halloween party. Or dust off your cape and cauldron and gather with your witches as a group of six in the garden. Failing that hop on your broomstick for a Zoom virtual gathering and compete with your friends to see who has created the scariest look!

Whether you want your look to be gory, terrifying and covered with fake blood, or completely cute (there’s always time for sparkle, even on Halloween!) these three simple ideas are all the beauty inspo you need for the big night:

We love a Mystic Witch look and you can create this with what’s already in your make up bag.

Dig out your vampiest makeup palette and go big on the eyes – try a striking dark purple eyeshadow, black winged liner and dot with gold in the inner eye. A dark wine coloured lipstick, headscarf and crystal ball complete the look.

A Creepy Clown is always terrifying and this is a base look you can glam up if you want to.

A white base, black around your eyes and big fake lashes set the tone. Cross the face and adorn your mouth in red (take inspiration from Pennywise!) adding some glitter if you like. You can always add some face gems here too for extra glam points.

A Bloody Hand Print looks effective and is super simple.

Fix your make up first, a pale base and big lashes look great here for a gorgeous and gross combination. Cover your hand in red face paint and press it onto your face, adding fake blood and a fake blood-stained knife to make it extra freaky.

Make the most of this very strange Halloween – by not having to leave the house, you have more time to show off your creativity to the extreme!
